Vacancies for teachers

Hello! I’m Mary Stuart. Like you, I’m a teacher but my fulltime job now is helping schools find staff. Most of our clients are independent schools, but we also work for good government schools.

There are three basic questions that schools have, when they are looking for a teacher: - can the person do the job? - can we afford the person? - will the person fit in?

As a teacher recruitment agent, I evaluate CVs as per my clients’ requirements, and put forward those who meet my clients’ requirements.

Because teachers don’t always know what to include (and what to leave out), we have written a page called CV MAGIC. We guarantee that if you follow the recommendations on this page, your CV will be better than it currently is. Having worked for schools for all these years, we know the information that schools want. If you don’t provide the information that they need, your CV will be rejected.

Sometimes schools particularly want to employ newly qualified teachers. The CV MAGIC page also has a special section for newly qualified teachers.

I am hugely impressed with what ThinkTeacher is doing, and totally support their vision and mission. Sometimes wonderful teachers who are burnt out and have “just had it” with the stresses of their particular jobs think that they want to leave teaching profession. Often, what they really want (but don’t know how to find) is a new environment where they can do what they love and are good at.

Our website www.TeacherNetwork.co.za has information that will give you more information about who we are and what we do. We hope you’ll follow us on Facebook, along with about 15,000 other teachers.
